Meet our Missionaries
Missions is an important part of the life of our church. The command "Go into all the world" (Matthew 28:19-20) compels us to send and support those who are willing to "go". Over the past several years our church has sent "short-term" missions teams to many parts of the world, including: Hong Kong, Central Mexico, Russia, Guatemala and the Dominican Republic, Korea, Ireland, India and Africa. In addition, our teenagers have been involved in a special outreach to Mexicali, Mexico in cooperation with the "YUGO" outreach.

Joyce Bourcier - England
Joyce traveled to Moscow to spend Christmas with Eunice Castle. Plans for the Friendship Center in Birmingham continue. There is an important meeting with the Charitable Trust Commission at the end of January. They need approval from this group to continue the process of opening the center, which will be used to reach out to immigrant families from all over southern Asia and Africa. Joyce will be traveling back to the US for her annual check up on the major surgery she had last year. She needs a car to get around from Jan. 28 to Feb. 9. If you can help, call Roger Pearce.
Chad & Cheri Lawrence - USA

They specialize in working with international students by hosting dinners each week and engaging them in meaningful conversations about spiritual things. God has been blessing the work as they have had 80 students attending these and other special events. Chad needs immediate prayer about his health; he will have to have another heart surgery this year. they are also in need of support monthly. Contact them at Chad.
Kevin DeVera - England
Kevin was able to spend Christmas with his family in Hawaii and now is busy visiting his supporting churches in the US. Pray for his support needs as he is far below the necessary funding the mission requires. His responsibilities in Birmingham include pastoring Acocks Green Baptist Church and reaching out to the many Hindu and Muslim immigrants in the area.
Eunice Castle - Russia
Eunice continues her work as office manager of Hinkson Christian Academy in Moscow. Over the holiday she and Joyce Bourcier were able to visit our friends in Smolensk and attended the dedication for the Russian Outreach Center that Pastor Nickolai is involved with. Her Sunday morning class that meets in her home is expanding and she is enjoying the study in Hebrews, all done in Russian.

Dave has been reassigned temporarily to work on video taping retired staff members for a history of Campus Crusade International - "The Legacy Project". this allows him to stay close to home to help the family get to doctor's appointments, etc.
Bryan & Trisha Wynn - Slovenia

Bryan continues to be responsible for the Kriz discipleship program, which includes monthly classes, on line classes and an intensive 2 week summer camp.
